Independence Day Schedule of Events:

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Water Rocket Launch. Children can pick up and decorate rockets at the Town Ball Field for a morning launch.

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Rotary Free Hot Dog Lunch. Taking place at the Town Ball Field, the Rotary Club serves thousands of free hot dogs to the community.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Field Games. Traditional outdoor competitions for the whole family, including sack races and a frozen t-shirt contest.

12:00 PM: MAMA Helicopter Visit. Mountain Area Medical Airlift lands at the Town Ball Field.

1:00 PM: Ladder Truck Spraydown. The Highlands Fire & Rescue truck cools off the crowd.

2:00 PM: Duck Derby. The annual Rotary Club Rubber Duck race at the Bridge at Mill Creek, where participants can purchase ducks to compete for cash prizes.

6:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Outdoor Concert Series. Head to Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park for live music from the band Southside Station.

9:20 PM: Fireworks Show. A brilliant fireworks display over downtown Highlands.
